"A must-read thriller! Based on true events!"

A few days after my mother passed away, it was hard for me to sleep. I woke up early in the morning and went down stairs. I noticed on the sidewalk, there was a butterfly in distress. The butterfly didn’t seem to be able to take off. I didn’t know what was wrong? She seemed to be able to flap her wings. It made me think of Herman and then I immediately  thought of The Formula!

I ran back upstairs, diluted the formula that I had and went back down to the butterfly. I dripped it near her, to create a little puddle for her to drink from, to see what she would do with it. At first she tasted it, then she began drinking it. Within minutes there was a noticable difference within her demeanor. She started flapping her wings gracefully as she drank more.

I noticed a paint truck had pulled up and that she would be in harms way when the workers approached the area.

So, I coaxed her onto my finger and she stayed there while I brought her upstairs onto the key lime tree. She rested there for a few hours. When I went to go check on her, we acknowledged each other, it was amazing! Then, she flapped her wings as if to say goodbye and took off from the second floor, soaring into the air and flying among the cypress trees. The next day I was at a restaurant that my mother and I used to frequent. One of the waitresses there Betty, was friendly with my mother and I. When I told her about the story with the butterfly, she said, “Grant, that’s your mother saying good-bye!”

So… I named her “Lily”.
